Transform Your Appearance with a Forehead Lift
Dominic Bray is a facelift and revision facelift specialist with a meticulous approach to facial rejuvenation. He is known worldwide for his exceptional skills and stunning results in a broad spectrum of facial plastic surgery including the forehead lift, also known as a brow lift.
This procedure is truly transformative, particularly if you suffer from a low brow position or eyelid hooding. These conditions tend to drag the facial features downwards, which can result in a tired, aged or even grumpy-looking appearance.
You might be surprised by how much your eyebrows play a part in your appearance, but the truth is, they shape the face and play a significant part in conveying our facial expressions and emotions. A straightforward forehead lift procedure aims to tighten loose skin, correct asymmetry and improve the appearance of frown lines.
Forehead and brow lift surgery can help reposition the brow and shape the eyes, making a dramatic difference to your appearance. You might have premature ageing of your brows, which has led to you looking older than you are. Do not worry; correcting this is very simple through a brow lift procedure.

What is a Forehead Lift?
A forehead lift is a surgical procedure to tighten sagging skin and forehead muscles on the brow, eyebrows and upper eyelids. It’s more commonly known as a brow lift and is a popular treatment to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and reposition the brow to reframe the face.
As we age, skin loses elasticity, which leads to sagging and results in an aged appearance. Weak brow muscles can also lead to drooping eyebrows which can make you look tired, stressed and sad.
A brow and forehead lift is designed to restore a more youthful appearance with natural-looking results and more harmonised facial features.
How is Brow Lift Surgery Performed?
There are several brow lift techniques which your surgeon may recommend depending on the position of your eyebrows and the extent of the lift required. Do not worry too much about understanding each type; your surgeon will be able to determine which procedure will achieve the best results.
Open brow lift (Coronal brow lift)
This surgical procedure involves making an incision across the top of the scalp, allowing your surgeon to lift and reposition your forehead skin.
Endoscopic brow lift
An endoscopic brow lift procedure uses smaller incisions and a small camera to access and tighten the underlying facial tissues.
Lateral Temporal brow lift
The temporal or lateral brow lift focuses on the outer portion of the eyebrow, addressing issues like lateral hooding or drooping eyebrows. The temporal brow lift involves making incisions near the temples or behind the hairline which leaves minimal scarring.
Why Consider a Surgical Brow Lift?
As we age, the upper brow line and our upper eyelids begin to sag, which reveals our age. For some, this might be premature and can leave us feeling disheartened with our appearance.
The brow lift procedure is extremely effective at reducing the visible signs of ageing and improving the appearance of sagging or deeply furrowed brows. It also helps to frame the face, providing more aesthetically pleasing results and will leave you with a more youthful contour to the upper one-third of the face.
Are There Any Alternatives to a Surgical Procedure?
Brow lift surgery can achieve results that are not possible with other non-surgical procedures. That being said, sometimes your surgeon may recommend waiting to go under the knife if they feel that surgery may be premature.
In this case, or if you are unsure about a surgical brow lift, other non-invasive treatments can help. A non-surgical brow lift using botulinum toxin or dermal fillers can achieve temporary but effective results.
